The prom. A big day in the lives of high schoolers all over the globe. Why is it such an important and crucial part of our high school years? If you don't go, something's wrong with you, or if you go alone, something's wrong with you. Ahh high school...good times right? Well, not exactly for everyone. I went to my senior prom, but it wasn't an evening that I go back and think, "Wow, what an amazing night!". It was just a dance. A much too expensive dance. The cost of the hair, the dress, the shoes (which I still own), the limo, the purse....it all just seems silly to me now. I didn't even go with a guy I liked. He was a friend's brother, who I wasn't even friends with. But of course, I needed a date and couldn't go alone. So, needless to say, it was a fun evening, but not too too memorable. What makes a night like this memorable, I think, is to make it your own. Make it unique. Make it what you want it to be. Like Sarah and Kyle. White dress. White suit. And the color red. Yep, they definitely did their own thing for Kyle's prom. They wore red converse sneakers. I love it.

AWww... the shoe picture came out so cute!! I love it! I actually thought that they were going to look stupid in their sneakers, but they really rocked it. I was even a little jealous because my sister has enough confidence to do her own thing even when other people think it's weird. I wish you were there to take cool pictures at MY prom! :) hehe.
I wore red converse sneakers in high school. The dean asked me why and I replied that it was the only way I could think of to simulate walking on a red carpet everywhere I went =). She then assured me I'd get a red carpet at graduation. It ended up being a red dish towel laid out as my name was called by the school social worker. I'm figuring that's about as glamorous as I'm gonna get 8) Mad props on the idea for prom, though!
GAH!
I LOVE ITTTTTT.
I totally made the shoe picture my background. My mom ADORES it. She wants me to get prints (i am from this cool website...snapfish.com) and frame it. haha
Its sooo good.
I look a little bit pregnant in the other one, but thats okay. You're awesome.
