This photo is part of a group of images I did for a photo collage independent study. I used different materials in the darkroom to create various effects. This photograph is a combination of two negatives, and writing onto the photo paper with china crayons. I created the circular shape in the center by holding a magnifying glass on top of the paper when exposing.

I love this photo. It seems like it's reaching out to us... to help us. Some might think it's reaching out FOR help, but I think it's ready to give it. I am not sure why, but I get a positive feeling from this picture rather than a dark, more negative one... I like that. :)
